T O P I C R E V I E WAstro-AuctionNow on Astro-Auction. More Collins art, also. General Collins donated most of his memorabilia to the National Air & Space Museum some years ago, so there isn't going to be a lot of stuff. We noticed a number of previously sold Astro-Auction items that sold again for MUCH MORE at the Aurora & Swann auctions. To us that means:1. You can get unique, authentic items on Astro-Auction at bargain prices. (and it's FREE! No buyer's or seller's premiums.)2. If you just shop at the live auctions, you'll pay too much, and wait six months to do it. http://astro-auction.com SRBWhen I was at the Air and Space Museum a few months ago, many of the Apollo 11 flown checklists and personal artifacts on display had acknowledgmnent cards stating that the items are on loan from Michael Collins. Are the cards incorrect or outdated? Or has he committed to giving them to the Museum at a future date? Good luck with the sales of his material. He has always been one of my heros for his work on Apollo 11, his wonderful books, his service to the Museum and his dignified behavior over the years.SteveKim Steve,I'm not sure. I'll ask him. I'm glad at least the museum thinks they're on loan, He told me he gave them to them. Gene Cernan had a large number of things at the Cosmosphere, but took them back and gave them to us for the garage sale, so there's a precedent.Kim072069Kim,I just recently took some photos of Michael Collins' PPK and flown flags from Apollo 11 at the Smithsonian Air & Space Museum and they are clearly marked "Loaned by Michael Collins."Bernie[This message has been edited by 072069 (edited April 28, 2004).]SRBKim,Any news from Collins about the items he has on display at the National Air & Space Museum?Steve
